ABOUT

I Love Watermelon and cameras

I was seven when my interest in photography began. My dad used to develop film in the kitchen at night, all I knew was that it was magic. Whether captured on film or digitally, photography’s eternal magic lies in capturing your narrative through heartfelt, authentic, and joyful images. This is what motivates me and keeps me full of life. Moving, funny, gregarious, quirky moments happen in the blink of an eye. Allow me to work with you to capture the unique moments that tell your story. I am so lucky to have worked with the great clients I have had the pleasure of photographing and look forward to telling the story of so many more of you.

I appreciate you taking the time to check out my work and I’d love the chance to chat with you about your photography needs. If you have wedding plans, an engagement surprise, portrait session (pets and people), or an editorial project you’d like to talk about, please contact me so we can get the ball rolling.

What My Clients Say

Her photographs tell the story of us better than we could.

AMY CHALIFOUX / WEDDING

Choosing Clytie as our photographer was one of the easiest decisions we had to make during the entire wedding planning process.  From the moment we first spoke we knew she was right for us.  She took time to get to know us before our wedding day which put us at ease.  She carefully spaced our interactions in the time leading up to our wedding. At the time we didn’t realize how important this was but in hindsight we realized it afforded us the opportunity to slowly get comfortable with her and for us to communicate the vision that we had for our big day.  She even spent time focusing on making me (the bride) feel more comfortable in from of the camera when I mentioned how much I dislike photos of myself and being the center of attention (two potentially catastrophic problems for a bride).  Clytie worked with me to help make me more comfortable with the entire photography process.  She provided me with suggestions about things I could do beforehand to prepare for my wedding day photos and for that I am forever grateful.  She also provided us with a pre-wedding photography worksheet so we could document our vision for the day and make sure none of our special shots were missed.  She somehow managed to adhere to this list despite some poorly timed weather that rolled through right after our ceremony.  We are forever grateful for the passion, dedication, and execution she exhibited in photographing our wedding day.  With so much going on it was extremely reassuring to know that we were in such capable hands.  We will forever cherish the work she did for us that day.

DANA HUBER / FAMILY PORTRAITS

My family had an excellent experience working with Clytie for our first family photo session. I told Clytie what I was looking for and she researched and found the perfect location. Clytie was flexible with scheduling and very understanding when we had to reschedule. Clytie helped me prepare for the photo session by sending me articles about family poses and clothing. The day of the shoot Clytie arrived early. She had already scouted the location and found several beautiful settings to take pictures. Clytie was very patient and understanding when our teething baby was a bit cranky, and she was happy to wait for a feeding break. Clytie had tricks for making our crabby baby smile.

She took feedback well and was willing to try a variety of different shots. We are so happy with the final results and we will treasure the pictures she took. She was able to get us the proofs quickly and gave us recommendations for printing. We highly recommend her for your photography needs!

I cannot say enough about how pleased we were with the holiday photos of our daughter. Clytie did a masterful job!  We made a holiday book and sent pictures to all of our family members. There were endless compliments about how great the pictures were, and who was your photographer? I would recommend Clytie for any photography work you need!

NATASCHA HESS / COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Clytie’s photo of my food was featured in the Wall Street Journal. She was able to take my food and make it more inviting, approachable, and appetizing. She has the “eye” that everyone talks about, but then she adds a ton of thoughtfulness, creativity, and style. Clytie is laid back and easy to work with, but also pushes me to be better, the perfect teammate.
